The two nearest places I’d consider learning are Ski Rossendale or Chill Factore in Manchester. Ski Rossendale is a dry slope and a great deal cheaper than Chill Factore which is a fat slope covered in real snow. I was thinking of learning the basics at Rossendale and then heading over to Chill to actually get some snowboarding done. Just cruising around is affordable there but there lessons aren’t. Perhaps I could get a package for Christmas or my birthday? I wanna go on a snow holiday and it makes more sense to learn before I go as opposed to learning when I’m on the mountain.

I chop and change my goals like there’s no tomorrow.
Summer does this thing to me where I just want to change every aspect of my life. Last summer I really wanted to start mountain biking, learn to snowboard, get driving and somehow get a VW campervan. Today it was absolutely roasting, I got home a bit before noon and my life just seemed so bland. Maybe it’s being around someone with a seemingly perfect life just like this time last year.
Anyway, I bought a bike about 6 weeks ago but want to get some proper mountain biking done this summer – generally being off-road at any opportunity. I filled out my provisional licence form this afternoon, found the number to a recommended driving instructor and have my passport to hand with the intention of going to the post office tomorrow after work. I’m also hoping to have snowboarding lessons at Rossendale or Chill Factore in the foreseeable future.
I’ve gotten rid of a bajillion goals – well, ‘given up’ on them for the moment anyway. I’m trying to keep all my goals relevent to right now instead of having a list of stuff that I’m not completely motivated to do. I’ll come back to them.
