I’m not going to check this off as done, since I don’t think that going out once fully qualifies as “do more geocaching”, but I did take my daughter out on the 4th of July to ‘hunt some treasure chests’. We had a great time. We set out with 8 sets of coordinates. skipped one because of location, couldn’t find 3, did find 3 and skipped the last one because we were hot and exhausted. It was a great day.

I used to geocache a lot with my wife and daughter, and also had a pretty heated competition going with a friend at work that I got started in geocaching. But since my wife passed-away last year I just haven’t ever taken it back up. A few days ago while driving down the road my daughter asked me if we could go hunt treasure chests again after I got to feeling better following my tonsillectomy. I guess it is time to try and find my GPS receiver and antenna and get started again. Yikes! I just noticed my co-worker and I are tied! Fortunately his first child was born recently so he’s a bit pre-occupied at the moment.
