I’m thinking about selling the car and buying me a scooter. That way, I won’t be playing referee all day. What are my precious, very precious teenagers thinking. I can split the car in two and have both of them using it at the same time? And gas, do they really think gas is .10 a gallon, no big deal driving around and watching the odometer rake in the miles?
Do they really want the back of the SUV to be a garbage dump for their trash, a library for their school books, recycling bin for their school papers and a closet for their clothes/shoes left in the car?
A scooter…That could be the answer.

I need to come up with some sort of calender-type of chart for the kids to fill-in their requests for the car. It also needs to have a place where I have given my ok.
I also need a calendar for all of our appointments, events and baseballs games. This needs to be visible but not overwhelming and/or gaudy.
Hopefully, these will help me to stay on top of the kids wanting and/or needing the car.

I’m feeling really frustrated about this goal…With two teen-age sons, a disorganized-messy daughter with a beautiful 18 month old, I can’t seem to keep up with keeping our home organized, clean and happy.
Why is it so difficult for them to: Rinse their cups or plates off, put away their freshly folded clean laundry, hang their wet towels up, put away little one’s toys at night, clean off the highchair tray, refill the dog’s dish, empty the trash can, replace the toilet paper, clean-up their spills and throw away their fast-food bags and cups in they leave in my car???
These are really good kids, you think after talking to them numerous times about their lack of responsibility with cleaning up after themselves, they get it.
I’m always giving in and doing it so that our home is kept up. No more, I will leave their messes and laundry . Hopefully, after running out of clean dishes, clothes, a dirty-smelly car, dirty used towels, no toilet paper, no toys for Caden to be entertained with and a thirsty-lethargic dog ~ they will finally get it!!
The mission starts today. Again, hopefully by Sunday, they’ll get the hint…seeing a very unhappy, sad, dehydrated dog! (I would never, never do that to the dog, promise).
