Hmm, I think I need to balance this a little, I am being so honest with others around me that I am influencing them, but not always to the positive. Part of living authentically is that I am true to who God made me to be, in that process, I have been really honest with a co-worker about how my boss makes me feel. She is much closer to him, and I am careful not to be negative about him, just say how I feel when he does certain things. Tonight she called and said she realized that she was a valuable person too and didn’t deserve to be treated like we are. We were both invited to work with another organization during a time frame that doesn’t interfere with our current work. They were so welcoming and warm we were instantly drawn to them. Now we are both thinking if they offer us a job we would take it in a heart beat! So hard for Christians to step up when it comes to stuff like this, where do you balance people relationships with the vision that God has called you to?

but I’d like to be more purposeful about it. It isn’t enough to know God or serve God, but authentically living as though the Word of God is true, as though I am in the presence of God, as though His promises are reality . . . that’s how I will show others God through my life.
