Okay, I've done this

With some success and some failures, as witnessed by my posts. I would recommend this to anyone. I feel so much better when I eat raw. Unfortunately, I have yet to make it a full 3 months raw and that is my goal beginning in Jan. In the meantime, I am not giving up on my goal, I’m just going to hang around the vegan boards and come back to this in Jan. And I don’t consider this giving up on raw because my original goal was to go 30 days raw and i’ve done that.



I'm Tired

Okay, I’m tired of being 90-95% raw vegan/cooked vegan and then cheater whenever family or friends come around. I’m just ready to be 100% raw again and I think it’s gonna be fine because it’s not a meat issue, it’s just that sometimes I cook, like today and yesterday for dinner I had cooked collard and beet greens, yam and a tofu link. Other than that I eat completely raw and am fine with it. It’s just out of habit that I eat cooked food, no other reason! Anyway, done with ranting and am 100% :)



Been on Vacay

So I completely lost my mind the 2nd n 3rd days and had scrambled eggs and pizza with friends. But then I reined myself back in and went back to raw. If you haven’t noticed the pattern, I sure do. I fall off the wagon (or healthy eating) whenever friends or family visits or I visit them. I just hate being different and hearing the lectures, etc. So I will work on that. Develop a better plan.
Anyway, yesterday:
1/2 Cantalope
Raspberry Sorbet w/ flax “crust” and walnuts on top. (Impromptu pie, it was delish!)
Flax seed cereal w/ almond milk n walnuts

Today:
Flax Seed Cereal
pink spice (beet, pear n ginger drink (w/ other stuff)
Raspberry Chocolate Sorbet



Outta Town Guests

So I have friends in from outta town and we went to breakfast and I just didnt feel like explaining raw and truthfully, i was a bit hungry watching everyone else place their order, so… I had 3 scrambled eggs and herbs. HOWEVER, I’m making excuses, there is no excuse, because if I wanted to there was a tofu scramble on the menu but i conveniently ignored it.

Lunch:
almond milk and flax and agave “cereal”

Veggie Juice



Feeling Kinda Sick

It’s weird, but I’m feeling kinda rundown and I can’t understand why because I’ve been eating a huge variety of veggies and fruits, but for once concentrating on more veggies. Today, I had roasted veggies, I don’t know I was craving something hot. It’s getting cold here. Bought some cal-mag pills, thought I should take a supplement just in case I’m not getting enough. Think I’m gonna get an all around multi-vitamin and some folic acid.

Breakfast: Raw Lemon Drop cookies (so yummy, the flavors intensify and blend better with each passing day and sticking them in the fridge instead of keeping them on my counter really helped firm them up)

Lunch:
Bunny Spice (didn’t have it yesterday as planned, matter of fact I didn’t have much of an appetite yesterday.)

Dinner:
Roasted Veggies (Delic)
Vegan tofu curry salad (Yummo)

Hey, I found another place that sells raw chocolate. Whoopeee, I’m going to get some tomorrow.

Stressful Day

Hi, felt like crying all day. Having school and family issues and all day been feeling like I’ve been forgetting something… like my brain. Anyway, I stayed mostly raw, I did binge on vending machine snacks at school…

Raw Lemon drop cookies
Veggie Juice (2 cucumbers, 2 carrots, 1 apple)
Yam chips
At School from vending machine: 2 bags of Munchos chips, 1 bag of oatmeal raisin cookies
Kale, Corn, Tomato marinated for dinner and more lemon drop cookies for snack.
When stressed I eat and right now I feel like eating and eating and… So I guess I’ll take myself to bed.

Oh, doubt I’ll be able to post 2morrow, but since I’m craving comfort food just now, I’ll have:
Breakfast – Raw Raspberry Cheezecake Smoothie (I’ll post the ingredients some other time, it’s mainly made from papaya and raspberries but tastes like rasp cheesecake in a glass)

Lunch – Juiced Beets and Apples
Snack – Lemon drop cookies

Dinner – yam chips and kale salad, vegan chipotle dressing
Dessert – Bunny Spice, really cold and thick so it taste ice cream like



Nice Day

Had my usual breakfast (it’s just so easy) soy yogurt and flax seed

Lunch and Snack – raw tomato soup w/ basil, kale and spinach, made a big blender full so I still have leftovers. it was so quick and easy.

I’m dehydrating some lemon drop cookies as I type – it should be delic cause the batter was so good. However, I don’t think it will be ready until 2morrow and I am craving something sweet so I’m gonna have a bunny spice later (carrots, ginger, banana,etc)

Oh had some yam chips, just a few.



Today

I made yam chips, sooo yummm! (yams marinated w/ thyme, olive oil, sea salt) then sprinkled w/ brewers yeast and dehydrated.
again yummo!

More veggie juice (cabbage, beets, etc)

flax seed cereal n almond milk n agave

soy yogurt n flax seed and an apple

In no particular order, just how I remembered it :)



1 Gallon and FULL

Had a gallon of veggie juice. I’m so full!!!!! and actually, I still have some left, I put it in the fridge because I just couldn’t drink it all I was sooo full.

Also had:
Soy yogurt w/ flax seed
veggie sandwich: sprout bread, veggie cheese, spinach, tomatoes, vegan mustard

If I somehow get hungry later, I’ll have the rest of my juice. I hate that I couldn’t finish it right away because I know as veggie juice sits it loses some of it properties, but oh well. AND I’m not doing the master cleanse, the boyfriend and I went to the curb market to buy our lemons and stuff and I turn around and he’s gone. Where did I find him, you ask. Well, at the BBQ counter eating the fried wings and french fry platter with a yellow cake on the side – he’s pathetic (I know I’m harsh on this site, but I love him, including his food addiction. One day he’ll get better. Would you believe he was a strict vegetarian when we met years ago? I know.)

Had 32 oz veggie juice, used grapes for sweetner cause I was out of apple (cabbage, cucumber, carrot, kale, grapes)

Lots of water

Vegan burger, home fries

Took my laxative tonight, gonna do the master cleanse for 7 days to support boyfriend. I don’t really feel like it, but he needs to do something to get him back on the road to health and unlike him i actually know how and don’t mind supporting someone! (just had to toot my own unselfish horn for a moment:)
