I love crossing books with strangers.
I love getting them in the mail just as much as sending them away.
I find it more fun than leaving them behind. Chances are high they don’t get journaled, and even though I am letting go, I’d still like to leave them in good hands.

Starting a book ray (not a ring, I don’t want it to come back…) is so much fun. I wish the people taking part would “pay it forward” and start one each. But for now, five people have signed up, which means this copy will get to go places. I love that idea.
The postage for the book going back to Germany wasn’t cheap (7.7 EUR). I bought two sets of 10 stamps of 39 cents, all of them different, and they make the package look very colourful.
I am starting my first bookray with a German book called “Tintenherz” (Ink Heart) by Cornelia Funke. Let’s see how many people are going to sign up for the bookray.
I am setting a deadline until the 2nd of December for it, and anyone interested can sign up by PMing me through my bookcrossing bookshelf.
I’ve crossed three books: Wild Swans, which I left in the Amsterdam conservatory for my singing teacher to find.
I hope she likes the book.
The second is “An Anthropologist on Mars” by Oliver Sacks, which I’ve given to elpollodiablo.
The third was just released into the wild in my office building. Let’s see what happens to this one...
But unfortunately, I am quite selfish. Some books will never go on the big bookcrossing trip. The list of my permanent collection is getting rather longer shorter.
But I am planning to release more, since I have profitted from RABCKs myself.
...is traveling. I left “him” sitting on a bench in Vondelpark yesterday evening. Nobody has made an entry, yet, so I am waiting and hoping for a Wild Catch.
So I want to get going and collect a little pile of books to register them and what happens? I get the message of doom: “Page cannot be displayed, Cannot find server”!!
Aaaaaaargh!
Anyone know what’s going on? Heeeeelp!
Come and visit bookcrossing.com! I have to kick myself to get a faster rotation from to-be-read pile to the pile to-be-released. Gotta remind myself to print some labels in work next week.
Should you sign up as a new member, please refer to me, redbandita.
Hope to see you there soon!!!
