Everytime I wear my little trilby, bf calls me “Britney”!!! Aaaaaargh.

It’s a very simple beige hat with a brown band and an elastic for the chin. It was super cheap and is a candidate for gardening work and biking to and from work, should we ever get summery weather again.
...when I went to Glastonbury. I planned to take my big blue hat, but considering the weather forecast I left it as it’s a sun hat, not a rain hat. I did bring a olive green Chinese People’s Army style hat which I lost/forgot when buying thai food. I only noticed it when we were too far away to make it back, so I bought this woolen soft hat which is lovely.
This is my huge blue hat after I gave it a makeover: it has a band going around it and inside so I can tie it under my chin. It also now sports a butterfly and 9 little fabric flowers which I lovingly handsowed on yesterday. Today’s bike test showed that even if it blows off my head in strong head wind, it will be caught by the chin band and look cool hanging down my back.
This is me wearing my huge hat in the sunshine.
I bought it at H&M about two years ago. It’s big, it’s blue and the wire in the rim lets me change it anyway I like, but: it blows off when cycling (like all my hats!!!) and it looks a bit bland. Go to My blue hat part II
I bought the trilby.
I’ll wear it soon and often. Having boring straight hair is not alway a curse.
...a trilby in dark brown corduroy.
I have no idea why I didn’t other than I thought people might think I’ve gone fashion mad. I am not known to wear the latest chique, and this week end I have upgraded on a new hairstyle and today, for the first time since I started working here, I am wearing blush and lipstick. So maybe a hat would have overdone it? But I really liked it! So maybe I’ll go back and if it’s still there next week, I’ll buy it.
This one is the newest head cover, and it’s perfect for bad hair days. Like today.
It seems I am cool with soft hats that are shaped like a tube, head-wide, with a very small brim.
I’ll find one I like very soon. Right now I am sporting my freshly dyed hair. Hooray to my bf and my hair!
...I’ll have to get more hats. I have three that I wear:
a) a baseball cap more shaped like a chines soldier’s cap in dark brown, mostly when gardening. I don’t look good in it, but what the heck, it was free and it’s damn practical.
b) a wide-brimmed, bright brown straw summer hat with a flower
c) the blue hat in the pic.
They were all bought because of their solar protective properties. You can tell I’m not fond of squinting.
