Get (or renew) a passport

Passport application filed this week with a rush order on it and all (so I can hopefully weekend in Vancouver next month). Yippee! Almost done with this one once I have it in hand.

My British and US passports … what a problem to have! :)

by leaving the application and horrible photos in my office when I left yesterday. And the meeting that was my excuse to get out of the office was cancelled. And I have a lunch meeting tomorrow. Friday? Maybe I can finally get this done on Friday, if I am a good girl and get my booty out of this office chair and the 6 blocks to the passport office in hurry. If it takes until next week, I may start to lose $ or motivation.

but tomorrow, I’m out of the office at conferences all day, so I should be able to get away and file my application during the lunch hour, assuming none of my confreences run over. yippee! and THEN I will be almost done with one of my 43 things. TG! I’m starting to think I never want to eliminate these 43. Maybe there should be a breakdown in the list to lead to a sense of accomplishment- 5 things I can do this week, 5 things I can do this month, 5 things I can do this year, and the rest for long-term goals. Then there would still be a regular flow of achievement and incentive to work on the longterm.

got my passport photos at lunch today (they’re horrible, but I can’t accept being vain enough to spend another $10 on photos, so they’ll have to do). And the application was printed out last night, so now I just have to run to the passport office on lunch tomorrow and I’ll be 6 weeks from a world-ready woman. Yay 43 things!

and hope to get my first summer paycheck this week, so I suppose I could wrap this up on my lunch hour if I get myself together… of course I don’t want to mark this as done until it comes by mail. 6 weeks to a travel-available me! With the new regulations, I can’t even go to Canada or Mexico without a passport, so hopefully, I’m on my way to being a citizen of the world. How sad is it that my dad’s from England and I’ve never been….?
