and decided to give it another shot. It’s dense reading, but interesting. I’m hoping to get past the native American section this time… last time, I got a little bogged down and gave up too easily.
Eleanor's Trousers has written 3 entries about this goal
brought this one to work today and plan on cramming an hour of reading in on my lunch break. My coworker spotted it on my desk and said it was well worth the read. I’m looking forward to finish the slavery and colonization stuff anf moving on to more modern times… when your mom is a liberal US history teacher, the colonization and slavery info is burned into your brain.
The chapters are much denser than I was prepared for, but I am hoping to read one chapter per day until I finish this one. I have had the book sitting around for months, but my law school class schedule kind of limits my ability to do any “fun” reading (unless it’s People magazine or something completely mindless). Plus, this will increase my chances at “read one book per week” if I hurry.
