do the artist date once a week

Went to the grocery store and bought 3 fruits I’d never had before and tried them- a Zulufruit, a pepino melon, and a red pear. Then I sat out and had a fruit picnic to eat each one in the living room.

Ended up bringing the fiance’ and his sister with me to the super fun crafty goodness that is Handmade Arcade. I want to have a table next year. All robot goodness. All the time…. Now to re-commit and make a two hour artist date happen. Even an hour would be worthwhile. I have forced myself upstairs to the office to get some writing done… but have surfed the internet instead. I got my new blog off the ground. I did my morning pages. I had good coffee. No shame in any of that.

I totally violated my Artist’s Date and added a trip to the circus with the fiance’ and shopping with the best buddy in its place. So much for prioritizing me time. And I didn’t finish any of last wek’s writing excercises and missed two days of morning pages. I feel like I need to start over. I really want to do this thing the whole way. for real.

Just started the Artist’s Way this week. The Artist’s Date is scheduled for Saturday morning. Let’s see if I can sneak out of the house unencumbered.
