I’m not good with putting myself on a schedule for these things. But since I’ve been pregnant, I’ve done my exercise video about once a week, and before that I did belly dance once a week. All those things add up, so I feel I’m doing well.

I’m feeling pretty sore today, but all is well. I think I’m going to change this goal from “exercise more” to “exercise regularly.” I think I’ve easily hit the “more” part, so I’m going to rethink my strategy.
When “Exercise More” is a goal, you have to know where you started from to figure out if you are actually exercising more.
I am officially excercising at least once a week for the last several weeks, and most weeks it is twice a week. I know you are supposed to do more than that, but I also try to do a lot of walking to and from places, so often don’t think to track that.
My “Iron (Wo)man” Totals:
Run/Walked: 29.25 miles; To Go: 0
Biked: 12 miles; To Go: 100
Swum: 0 Miles; To Go: 2.4
My Iron (Wo)Man totals so far:
Walked/Run: 13 miles, 13.2 to go
Biked: 8 miles, 104 to go
Swum: 0 miles, 2.4 to go
So, I’ve ordered the pedometer, but I haven’t received it yet. Hopefully soon. I would really love to have an accurate measure of my distances walked. I’m up to 6 miles walked now. I need to get to work on the other things!
Miles walked: 4
Miles to go: 22.2
Miles biked: 0
Miles to go: 112
Miles swum: 0
Miles to go: 3.3
It’s a start! And I actually put “health time” on my calendar at work, and I’m looking into getting a pedometer.
I’ve long told myself that I need to exercise more. I’m slim and not overweight now, but I’m only 25, and I need to start forming those good habits NOW! Exercise is something I’m terrible at doing, because I find it boring.
I’m not bad. In fact I walk and bike a lot. But I’ve never really made a schedule or kept track of how much I exercised. And I need to do more weight-lifting.
But I joined the “Iron Man” at work. LOL A typical Iron Man triathlon is 26.2 miles running, 112 or so miles biking, and 3.3 miles swimming.
In “our” version, you just don’t have to do it all at once. You can run or walk the 26.2 miles over the next 5 months, as well as the other things. They are passing out log sheets to help us keep track of our time. And we don’t have to swim if we double the other two distances. (I have access to a pool, but I’m not a very strong swimmer.)
I signed up! We’ll see if it helps jumpstart me to make a routine.
