Make ceramic tiles for my kitchen

I really needed to make 7 more, and I am kicking myself that I didnt make them sooner, but now its really too late. I put up the ones that I made and am also mad at myself that I didnt make my own glaze for these so I would have enough for all of them, because the second batch that she made is almost fluorescent yellow. Im glad that they are on the inside edge behind the fridge and only sort of show.
I need to go and fine either a border tile or a great thick molding to top these. Not going now though because I will end up spending too much money on these just to get the kitchen done.

Im going to have to finish these in the next few months although I really dont want to spend the money on them.

I really want to finish this. I have a set to pick up, and then I am going to start putting them up on the wall. I need to know how many I have left in hopes of mustering up some motivation.

I need to set up a table somewhere to do this. I can only make a couple at a time and usually the thing that keeps me from actually sitting down is the fact that I have to pull everything out. I dont have a kitchen table, just the dining room one, and Im not sure i want my diningroom, which opens to the kitchen and the livingroom covered in clay for the next month.
I do have space in the study now, but I really want to get a desk. Hmmmmmmm.

i figure if I can make 4 or 5 a day this shouldnt take that long. Im really beginning to feel the pull of house stuff. I have ripped so many things apart. I need to begin putting things back together.

I havent really been doing this. Mostly because the clay is cold and I feel the chill hours after. Its almost that feeling that you get after shoveling on a cold day. I dont get it, but Im waiting until it gets warmer.

I went back to the studio yesterday for the first time since August. I had 8 tiles finished, and 16 left to glaze. I finished 8 of the 16, but need to get back into making these, since they take a couple of weeks to dry thouroughly.
I picked out a pattern for the border row, and since I only need ten or so I am going to try and get them finished first.
My goal is to make at least 5 tiles a week. If i cant keep that up, it shouldnt be much past spring when I finish these.

I glazed 8 more tiles today and have 17 in this batch left. My ceramisist is going to be closed for the month of August, so I need to get the glazing completed in the next week, so I can spend the month she is closed finishing tiles. 100 left to go.
The tiles that were fired on saturday came out perfectly. I need to pick up adhesive tomorrow, and I cant wait to get them up onto the wall.

Tiles were fired yesterday. tomorrow I get to go and get the first batch. There are ten small ones and 9 large ones, and I am excited and very scared. I think I will actually cry if they all exploded in the kiln.

I picked one up last night to show a friend and it shattered. I felt like a little kid that broke their favorite toy.
