learn french

I went to the group meeting on Monday evening and it was great! I have a long way to go as far as my speaking skills, but I did really well with understanding what other people were saying. Everyone was really nice, and very helpful with letting try to figure out how to say something on my own, instead of trying to interrupt me to finish my thought for me.

Probably the best thing for me to do right now is just to learn more vocabulary. It seems that even if I get the verb tenses wrong, people still understand what I’m trying to say, so I feel like it’s much more important to try to learn more various vocab instead of fixating on perfecting my verb tenses.

I’m so excited for the next meeting!!

I found a local group here that meets and lets people practice their French. My French is so horrid that I’m sure I’ll be the worst person there, but maybe it’ll help me a little bit?
