Replace the stove.

This goal originally said, “Replace the stove with a smooth top model.” I’ve changed my mind. I did a little prowling around and discovered that the smooth tops disallow cast iron, large stockpots and canning. That. Will. Not. Work.

So.

Now the plan is to get a newer plain-vanilla electric stove. I’d like a self-cleaning oven. Easy as possible to clean. Just simple.

Sigh. I sure like the way those smooth tops look on the show floor.
