get my own place

There is a good chance that we are going to be able to get an apartment very soon. My friend Vicki’s brother and wife are trying to buy a house and if they get it, they will be moving out of their apartment. It is a two bedroom apartment and has VERY reasonable rent for this area. Vicki mentioned that we should move in there if it is open. Her parents own the place, and I have known her family ever since I was 5, so I really think it could be a great thing for us. I mean, we would have land lords that we actually know and like and wouldn’t have to pay a ton for an apartment. I just hope that it works for us.

Well, my husband has a new job (which he started in April) and it pays really well. We are working on paying off our bills and then getting a place. We already have the apartment picked out in Texas and can’t wait until we have the money to move. We are going to stay in our apartment while we build up our credit even more and save up a bunch of money for a down payment on a house. OOOHHHH, I am so excited!!

Brian has been looking for a job like mad so we should have some income soon (darn me for having us both work at my dad’s small business and darn my dad for thinking it is o.k. to not pay us). that means we can pay off some of our bills, save up money for an apartment and save up for furniture and all of that good stuff. I keep having this mental image of us living in our own place again….I miss it terribly, so I will be happy when we live on our own!!!!
