organize my life

So my quest to have the garage cleaned out was a success, for maybe three months…... As of right now, it looks pretty much the same as it always did. What happened, you might ask. Well, my cousin moved in and brought all of his stuff with him. Not that I mind having him here, its just that Brian and I spent a load of time cleaning the darn garage and now it is all blown to crap. So, that is the bad.

The good thing is, I almost have my room cleaned. Having a clean room has always made me feel more organized in everything I do so this is a major thing for me. I just need to get a few boxes out of the room and it will be practically done. I can’t wait for it to be complete.

It has been a few days since I updated the situation with the garage. Well, as for the front room, we have basically one quarter of the room left to clean out. Our biggest hurdle is finding something to do with all of the throw away stuff in the garage. We called the local garbage disposal people to see about renting a dumpster for the items that we can’t recycle, and they quoted us an outrageous price. It was like $300.00 to keep it for a week and have it dumped twice. $3.00 every day after the first week and I think $10.00 for every additional dump. The prices for additional dumps and days isn’t that much, but $300.00 initially? No Way! We will find some other way to get rid of everything.

In my head, I had this time line that I was going to have the garage cleaned by the end of February. Well, surprise surprise, my husband and I almost have the front half done already! We have only worked on it for two days, and not even two full days! At this rate, we will have the whole thing done in less than two weeks! It really feels good to be getting things organized for once.

This new year is going to be an organized one for me. No more clutter. No more messes. No more putting up with messy rooms. I am ready to have an organized life.
