I’m trying this again. Today I bought a new diary/journal to help me do this. I start journalling properly tomorrow (because I already can’t remember what I’ve been eating/nibbling on today :P). The diary will be my new food & exercise journal. I don’t forget to write down what I do at the gym after each session so it’ll be a good way to force me to open it to jot down what I eat at least each day when I go to the gym.
Better record on some days than none at all.

It’s still so hard to do this! I’ve managed to keep an exercise journal though. I’m now wondering if I’m successful at keeping an exercise journal rather than my food journal, because an exercise journal highlights my achievements, while a food journal would force me to take stock of my failures?
I wonder.

I got myself a small notebook that is small enough to carry around everywhere to make it easier to record what I eat. But it’s still difficult! I keep forgetting to record what I eat when I eat. I’ve managed to record some, but haven’t been meeting with a lot of success this month.
Hopefully August will be better.

I haven’t done so well at my attempt to do this for the past few days. I’ll try to do better.
Breakfast
9am or so while at my desk in the office. Had 1 sugar cheese pastry that I bought from home, and 1 mug of tea (without milk).
Lunch
12.30pm while at my desk in the office. Had an egg sandwich I brought from home, and plain water. Was working while eating and talking to my colleagues about work.
Tea-break
3.15pm: Having bad cramps so made myself a cup of hot Milo. And was still a bit hungry so ate a few biscuits – those long, plain ones that look like YanYan biscuits. Got the biscuits from my colleagues’ office.

It’s a new month, and I believe it would be a perfect time to start this goal. I’ll start keeping a food diary today, so that I can monitor exactly what I’m putting into my body and how I’m sabotaging my attempt at being healthy. I’ll consider myself as having successfully completed this goal if I manage to do this every day for the whole of July.
