Even though this may be poor timing considering what happened nearby at NIU, but I’m being completely honest: I just want to fire a gun in a safe, controlled environment at otherwise non-living targets (I heard from my friend they have Zombie targets in some shooting galleries). Now I’m not at all violent nor do I wish to OWN a gun. I simply want to know what it feels like to fire one (to quote The Simpsons: “Now I know how God feels when He holds a gun!”). I don’t want to go hunting as I can’t, under any circumstance, harm a fuzzy, cute, living creature.
More or less, I want to see if the recoil response of firing a standard firearm is as powerful as they show it on TV.
