Okay, well, my LSAT scores from the February administration just came in by email yesterday. And… I’m not sure whether to be happy or disappointed. I didn’t quite make my goal, but I did better than my embarrassment threshhold score. My score’s solid, good enough for a top-tier school, not quite good enough for a top-four school, especially given that my GPA is competitive but not outstanding. I’ve got a master’s degree already, which can’t hurt, and I’m pretty confident that I can write a good essay, but Yale probably isn’t in my future and a couple of schools I’d like to attend will be a little bit of a stretch.
Still, this score would make a lot of people happy, and it’s good enough that it probably wouldn’t make sense for me to try to take it again. Not bad, considering I did very little prep – I mostly used the Official LSAT Superprep published by the LSAC, did some extra work on logic problems, and took a couple of practice tests. I studied loosely for two months, seriously for about a week and half.
So anyway, now to figure out where I’d like to apply, I guess. I’ve missed this year’s cycle, so I’ll be sending out applications this fall for next fall. Suggestions welcome. ;)
