Defining Popularity

One of the issues with this goal is HOW DO YOU DEFINE POPULAR. We know POPULAR will mean different things to different people. Popular could mean your site receives a certain Google Page Rank or a specific number of unique visitors per month or that it receives recognition from a group you admire.
This week one of my sites finally reached a Google Pagerank of 6. It has been averaging about 550 unique visitors this last week. Would this be considered popular? 550 unique visitors is ONLY 11 unique visitors from each U.S. State. So I’d say it is not even close to being popular.
