Yesterday I spent some time at this site deleting old posts and goals. The process of creating those goals, writing about them and getting feedback was valuable. However, I decided that I’d delete the posts that I wouldn’t want my Facebook friends, my parents, or people who call me my the name on my passport to read. You see, Facebook allows you to share your 43things with your friends.
Even if I keep this world separate from that world, it helped to think about the posts that are most important for me to keep on display. It helped to think about the goals that are most important right now. It helps to narrow my focus.
Maybe the best thing about 43things is the opportunity share. And delete.

After a gazillion years of straightening my hair and a couple of weeks of wearing hair extensions, I decided to go back to my roots.
To the salon I went for a haircut that left me with approximately 1/4 of an inch of hair. I was prepared to be traumatized afterward. But, I feel okay. I’m a bit concerned about how others (family, etc.) might react. Still, it was a good choice. Now I get to figure out how to manage my hair in its natural texture. My hair will also get the opportunity to recover from years of damage due to chemical relaxers and a decade of coloring my prematurely gray hair. (I started going gray at 24.) Oddly enough, this hair cut made me realize that I didn’t/don’t even have that much gray hair!
