Closing out

The list continues to grow, so doesn’t make sense to set as a goal. Besides, I think I now have better places to manage this activity, such as generic scrap book Springpad, or movie specific app iMDB.

A couple of movies have slipped into the list, so I’ll add them here:

1. Amelie
2. Brokeback Mountain

Movie watching - Life is Beautiful & Brazil

Since I set this goal, I saw Life Is Beautiful. I must cornily say, “Move is beautiful”. I can’t believe how deeply I was swept into the shoes of the father in such a grim situation. And it was so beautiful and admirable how he brought such gusto into shielding his son from the harsh realities around him. It’s a fantastic movie that takes you through a sea of emotions – but the subject matter is a little tough to get through, so 4.5/5.

Brazil was a bit of cult movie from what I understand. I could see the unique story line would appeal to people. When I watched it though I wasn’t in the perfect mood for a science fiction tale, so I’d give it a pass mark only – 3/5.

1. Amelie
2. Brokeback Mountain
3. Citizen Kane
4. Brazil
5. Casablanca
6. Clockwork Orange
7. The Ring & The Ring – Japanese version
8. Taxi Driver
9. Life is Beautiful
10. Vanilla Sky
11. American Beauty
12. Alien versus Predator
13. The Bridge over the River Kwai
14. The Manchurian Candidate
15. Donnie Darko
16. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
17. The Exorcist
18. Wolf Creek
19. Green Street Hooligans
20. Blade Runner21. Run Fatboy Run

Run Fatboy Run

I’d give RFR 3/5 stars. It was quite good in places, but slow in others. Way too predictable, and as a marathon runner I just knew it wasn’t going to have any realism.

1. American Beauty
2. Brokeback Mountain
3. Citizen Kane
4. Brazil
5. Casablanca
6. Clockwork Orange
7. The Ring & The Ring – Japanese version
8. Taxi Driver
9. Life is Beautiful
10. Vanilla Sky
11. Amelie
12. Alien versus Predator
13. The Bridge over the River Kwai
14. The Manchurian Candidate
15. Donnie Darko
16. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
17. The Exorcist
18. Wolf Creek
19. Green Street Hooligans
20. Blade Runner

Added:
21. Run Fatboy Run

4. Brazil
5. Casablanca
6. Clockwork Orange
7. The Ring & The Ring – Japanese version
8. Taxi Driver
9. Life is Beautiful
10. Vanilla Sky
11. Amelie
12. Alien versus Predator
13. The Bridge over the River Kwai

Wonder how long this will take?
