make 1000 paper cranes

Okay, so I still haven’t done this! Bad Ribhinn, bad! I have been away from 43t for a while, so it’s time to get back to striving towards my goals. I’d love to complete this goal before my birthday. I’m having a pyjama day tomorrow, so I’ll probably stay in and watch DVDs – I can fold some cranes at the same time!

We’ll see how that goes …

I had set this goal as a personal challenge, because I wanted to try to make the 1000 cranes by my 20th birthday (which is today, the 4th). As of a couple of days ago however, I had only folded about 168 cranes, and it may have been a bit optimistic to believe I’d still be able to reach the thousand, if only I kept folding.

Well, instead I am going to aim for 500 cranes by tonight (I’m currently at 355) for my personal challenge, and I’ll keep heading towards having 1000 after that.

and still about 800 cranes to fold… Can it be done?

I finally got around to folding some cranes the other evening! The cranes now number one hundred and one.

I’ve been numbering each crane as I make it, mainly so I don’t forget how many there are. I used roman numerals for the first one hundred and for cranes 101-200 I’m using chinese numbers.

I actually wanted to wait until I had folded a respectable number of cranes before posting again, but it’s been while so …
