I didn’t, and probably still don’t know how to go about reaching this goal. I have no problem with singing at karaoke or things like that, but then that’s not really singing PROPERLY, more just larking about having a laugh.
You know when you watch the Idol (American or otherwise) auditions and there are those people who sing so badly, and yet they are so sure that they’re good enough. I’m scared that that’s me, in a way. I know that I’m not a great singer, but I like to think I’m not too bad.
Maybe that’s what scares me about singing in front of people. If I did it, then I’d probably find out the truth, which is that I can’t sing at all …
I’m toying with the idea of putting a video on youtube. But this scares me as well. So I’ll have a think about it some more.
