Short reviews here

Da Vinci Code (finished today). Good book. I didn’t get as into it as others I know, but it was a good, compelling story.

How To Generate Great Ideas (finished last week or maybe week before). Awful. Awful book – don’t waste your time.

American Psycho (Finished perhaps 2 months ago) – FANTASTIC! I recommend it to all – but it is quite explicit in places.

Blink (finished last week or maybe week before). It was OK – not great. I expected it to be worse than it was.

Business @ The Speed of Thought – OK – I didn’t think it was revolutionary even given the time it was written in, but it is dated now. It’s odd to find a book about exploiting technology in business that doesn’t date very quickly.

London Companion – good little book full of fun factiods about that great city.

SurvivorGREAT book. I really enjoyed it.

Wow – I’m ahead of my target. I want to keep this goal around for a year. I ride a train now to work, so I get about 1 hour of guaranteed reading time 5 days a week. That’s turned me into a book consuming machine.

Good book tho.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time  — 2 years ago

This is my February book. It’s narrated by a 15 year old boy with Asperger’s Syndrome, and he’s trying to find out who killed a neighbours dog. The story is about his detective work, and the adventure he goes on. A very interesting book, I thought it taught me a lot about the thought process (assuming it’s actually correct of course) of someone with aspergers – I don’t know anyone with it, but this book gave me some insights into how that would effect your lifestyle, and what goes on.

The Innovator's Dilemma  — 2 years ago

I’m going to read (at least) The Innovator’s Dilemma by Clayton M. Christensen this month. I generally prefer non-fiction books over fiction. This book apparently won the Best Business Book 1997 in the Booz-Allen & Hamilton Global Business Book Awards. It was recommended to me by a colleague.
