climb all 50 state highpoints

Made it to 7 more points this year! NY,MA,VT,NH,MN,MI and WI.

My pal Dave went along, we had a hoot in Minnesota, and crossed over to Canada. Mt. Marcy New York is pretty nice, as was Mansfield in Vermont. 33 Highpoints done now.

I’m cutting back on skiing this year, and hope to get in more highpoints. I have a second attempt of Hood planned in June. Other hopefuls include: Missouri, An early September trip could knock out (5) on one trip: Massachusets, New Jersey, Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York. I’d like to figure a way to work in Idaho in late July or early August, on a long weekend.

I only added 3 peaks this year: Maine, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Somehow missed the exit for New Jersey after a 1,400 mile motorcycle ride, didn’t feel like backtracking. The Massachusets highpoint access road was closed!

So far I plan to do Katahdin and Whitney for sure this summer. Couldn’t believe we got picked in the Whitney permit lottery my first try! I may knock out Oklahoma and Kansas next month if I can talk someone into tagging along. I’d like to do five this year, so I’m still trying to think of one more….
