I’ve got more friends in more places, so I’m out and about a lot more than I used to be.
I seem to have lost the trekking spirit though. Hmm. I’ll have to sort that out while I still have time off!

This evening, I asked my parents if I could go to a mini-meetup some of my online friends are holding tomorrow. Not expecting a yes, I got a big fat no, but I still got a little down.
Then I thought about it: What on earth have I done lately? I haven’t seen my friends since school broke up weeks ago, and I’ve done nothing but sit in the house since we got back from holidays. I need to totally get out more than ever and save my butt from this drab lifestyle!
I walked the other way along the canal last Saturday (as opposed to the wrong way last time) and walked to Foxton, then back. 11 miles in total and I loved it!

I went for a 7-mile walk along the Union Canal yesterday! It was great!
I’ve been inside the past three days with a cold, and I still have the sniffles. I had to put off my geocaching adventure I’d planned for Saturday, too.
School was off yesterday (and today) ‘cos of snow, and of course, I found out after walking 40 minutes to school.
I took a gander around town and stuff though, ended up enjoying myself. Also managed to get owned by a snowball and fall on my ass, which I found hilarious.
As I said I would, I went to town yesterday to pick up a few bits of stationary etc.
After I got myself a coffee and sat on a bench in a park nearby for about 15 mins while I drank it. It was wonderful! Seeing all the people coming and going, smiling to strangers and having them smile back. Wonderful.
I’m going down town tomorrow! To buy stationary!
... hey, that’s a brave thing to say when you spend all your weekends indoors.
Grr, just spent two days indoors doing FA.
Hopefully I’ll use tomorrow’s bank holiday for something good, ie, go outside for once.
