For better or worse, I’ve found I actually get MORE done than being in-office! A win-win for both your employer and you: they get more work out of you, and you get to do that work in a den/office at your residence.
One suggestion: if you have a workplan or list of job duties, in making the case to work from home you might want to address duty by duty how each would be impacted by working from home as opposed to in-office. A simple plus, minus, or no change suffices.
