Reconnect with my grandparents

I was home in Birmingham for two weeks this past August and I had a chance to sit and talk with all three remaining grandparents. I’ve gotten one of my grandfathers to promise to send monthly letters about Medical school, the army, being a doctor in Germany, meeting my grandmother, divorcing my grandmother after 21 years of marriage…etc. I adore these people.

I lost my greatgrandmother earlier this year to old age. She was 98. I’ll never forget the stories and the times spent in her quiet little home in Rock Spring, Georgia. My grandparents are relatively young and I forget that they too have lived long amazing lives and have stories to share. I want to reconnect with them after having been away from home for seven years. I want to collect their stories and listen to their advice. They’ve been around and definitely know a thing or two.
