Store them for a year? — 2 years ago
I don’t think so! Monthly storage unit rent is a great big incentive to get this goal completed and now, Goodwill’s got a lot of clothing I just haven’t been wearing.

Since I have to get all of my crap into storage somehow – for a year – I’ve started seeing everything around me as exactly that – crap. That makes it easier to get READY to throw it out, or give it away if there is the possibility that someone else might want it, but that doesn’t make going through it any more easier.
However, this overall goal has helped at least with my goal of getting rid of clothes I never wear. That’s the easy part. No sentimental value (or very little, at least) attached to them.
I’ve got a section of the hallway dedicated to my giveaway stuff and I’m wondering when my roommates are going to say, “Hey, just because it is out of your room doesn’t mean it is out of your life. Get rid of this sh*t!”
After Goodwill today, I’ve only got a few more odds and ends.
Feels so good.
...and they just keep getting fuller and fuller…ahhhh.
