be a volunteer

Today was my first day working with Boxer Luv Rescue. They rescue boxers from the e-list or take in boxers that people are surrendering. All of the dogs were so sweet and of course adorable! It was very fun even though it was sad that they didn’t have families to live with….if you love animals a rescue group would be a great place for you to start your volunteering!

Also, to everyone else looking for somewhere to volunteer a good site is www.volunteermatch.org. You can specify what type of work you want to do and find spots in your area. Good luck everyone!

I just signed up to volunteer in Peru for 3 months. I’m terrified! I am excited to be able to work with all the people there but, I’ve never gone on a trip by myself. Not to mention I am going to have to try and do some fundraising to pay for some of it. Has anyone else gone away by themselves for volunteer work? Any advice??
