I'm back! 3 years ago

Four months post-baby and I have finally completed four workouts in a week.
I have a personal training session once a week and an exercise class booked once a week. It’s then up to me to exercise two other times. I can either run, go to gym or go on a long walk. Last week I had two long walks, this week I went for a run with the stroller and will either go again or to the gym if it’s raining.

It feels great to be running again.

It was a particularly good workout when I had to run uphill, with a headwind, pushing the stroller – I’m guessing I’ll have sore legs tomorrow!!

I didn’t work out four times last week as I was away on holiday for four days of it (and rushed the couple before I left! However, the week before that I accomplished this.



I can still run! 3 years ago

I had a cough and hadn’t run for a couple of weeks. However, I tried going on Friday and was able to run 5 km before it got too dark. Will go again tomorrow…



Recently... 3 years ago

I have been coughing and didn’t think I should workout four times. I have been doing some activity though and always to my stretches at night.



New plan 3 years ago

I have a group of people I run with at least once a week, but still need to fit in three more workuts to complete this.

My new plan is to cancel my gym membership and just use the minigym/pool in my building. I found I was always waiting for the perfect time to fit in a workout at the gym where my membership is and have hardly been in the last few months. It is so much easier to go to the one in my building, and although the equipment is more limited that is no longer a problem now I am pregnant and limited in what I want to do (ie. no heavy free weights!).

Have been 4 times this week – YEY!

Last week I did three. One outdoor run, one indoor treadmill/ecliptical trainer session and one arm workout.

My wisdom teeth are gone and I have recovered enough from the trauma to get out adn activer again. I tired myself in pump class on Sunday and ran through a gorgeous bush track near home on Monday evening. That leaves five more days with only two workouts needed to mark off this goal (for this week anyway). That has to be easy!

Last week I ran in the City to Surf, a 14 km event in Sydney with 60000 participants! I finished in 74min 44sec. I didn’t do any other workouts though.

This week:
Sunday: Walk in the Royal National Park (five hours)
Monday: Massage (does that count? – it felt like a workout)



Week 1 - three times 4 years ago

Sunday: ran to harbour bridge, across, and back.
Tuesday: weight-training – arms
Friday: ran to harbour bridge, across, and back.
