A Glendale (AZ) man who was supposed to be sentenced today in connection with a horrific case of animal abuse did not show up in court this morning.

The 40-year old pleaded guilty to feeding his live 3-week-old puppy to his boa constrictor in July 2006. According to reports, he coated the puppy in cooking oil to make it “easier to swallow.”
