I’ve now taken one entire 8-week class. I loved it and will be going back for a veil class beginning next week.
Yep, I’m hooked. :)

I know that everyone and their dog says this after starting bellydance, but it is SO MUCH FUN.
I’m usually such a homebody (and I have narcolepsy, so I get tired easily and don’t normally stay out late), but this class is making me look forward to Monday evenings.
The instructor is wonderful. I don’t feel completely overwhelmed. The day after class I feel energetic and impressively grounded. In fact, I feel like beginning to learn this style of dance is helping me see my body less as decoration and more as something functional and strong.
I just registered to take a bellydance class in the spring. I’m excited! The instructor comes very highly recommended.
I’ve wanted to learn for years. Why on Earth have I waited so long?
I like watching really fast bellydance, such as the crazy fusion stuff Unmata does, as well as more conventional styles (especially the small amount of Egyptian I’ve seen). I’ve never really taken a dance class before, and I’m honestly a bit nervous to start. Hopefully I’ll grow the proverbial balls to take one after I graduate.
