Another entry, because eventually we bought a second Tivo, for the living room. Mainly used by the kids, who now always have something to watch—the only complaints now are over who gets to record what and how much space either kid is using up. :)

Also upgraded both to Wireless-G connectors, the TiVo branded ones, which have fairly recently shown sped up inter-room and TTG transfers.

Got tivo for the gf this Xmas.

Be warned that you may find yourself watching more TV as a result, because instead of missing things, you now have no reason not to watch them :)

Also, Tivo by default will give you little presents of randomly recorded shows, based on your show ratings. You may need to enter lots of ratings (including being sure to down-rate things you do not like) in order for it’s guesses to be more focused.

Splurge on the network connector for the Tivo, it beats tying up a phone line, and plus then you can use Home Media features and such.
