Day 4 of Week 3/10
Relaxation and recuperation asanas were the focus of this session. I added some sun salutations to get my heart-rate up. Slept like a log. Two more sleeps in London, and I will keep trying to get at least some yoga done.

Thank you so much for every cheer, comment and congratulation I received today on achieving the 30/30 goal. That’s what team-work is all about! Couldn’t have done it without you.

Day 3 of Week 3/10
I’ve reached the 30/30 goal today. My session had to wait until 22h30, but it was well worth it, because it induced a deep, satisfying night’s sleep, for which I’m very grateful. I’m more and more amazed at the way my body responds to the challenges yoga offers. Wish I was able to do a comparison from when I started to where I am now. My body really feels strong and even toned. My biggest sense of accomplishment though comes from being able to mark this goal as ‘done’.
AY, does that mean I’m now part of the yoga alumni?

Day 2 of Week 3/10
Recuperation day. Easy yoga. Here I did what Aatmiya said she was going to do to routines that weren’t entirely up to expectation. I added my own bits. Satisfied; good stretches achieved. Body ready for greater challenge tomorrow.

Day 1 of Week 3/10
Triumph! Started Week 3 today on the first day of the week like it was meant to be. During this course a few asanas gets added as the weeks progress, so the sessions get slightly longer each week. My body is responding with grateful obedience, for which my mind is obediently grateful. Still, I would like to take it to the level where Leann is, in a setting most conducive to the best yoga I’m capable of. Thinking candles, fragrant air to breathe in for evenings, soothing music; or outside in the garden with the sound of water in the background early in the morning.

Days 3 – 7 of Week 2/10
A solo yogathon. Probably the only time in my life that I’ll ever do yoga for three hours continously. It was challenging, quite repetitive which made for greater flow as I got to memorize the sequences, and overall one fantastic way to spend a dreary Sunday afternoon. Highly recommended.
I saved the Savasanas at the end of the individual days and had one heavenly 25 minute one right at the end. I almost didn’t want the session to end. Unfortunately life doesn’t consist of only yoga, and I had to stop for a well-deserved treat of fruit salad and yogurt in a thin pancake. When I’m done with this entry, a long soak in a hot tub with my favourite satsuma bubbles awaits. :)
0 Yoga. Went to gym instead for a great and much-needed work-out. Plan to catch up today.

Day 7 of Week 1/10
Days 1 and 2 of Week 2/10
Over the weekend I will be trying to do the whole of week 2. Silli me enthusiastically started the 10 week Iyengar course on a Friday, thus throwing completely my logical, perfectionist little brain, so I want to be ready to start Week 3’s Day 1 on Monday. Feedback on the health-front is that my affliction stems from the fact that I spent too much time in front of the computer. Felt like a new woman after a good night’s sleep and limited time on 43T yesterday.
But, catching up again today! :}
Talk about vicious cycles…

Day 6 of Week 1/10
Only managed one session today, which was better than I hoped for. Not feeling so good, and plan to go seek medical advice today. I have previously been diagnosed with high blood pressure, but it was stress-induced and after a short period on medication, returned to normal. It might be the impending move playing it’s little tricks on my sub-conscious, and I have to admit, I am scared! (whispered). Will keep you posted on what the outcome is. In the meantime, will just concentrate on standing poses and avoid any inverted ones. Iyengar yoga fortunately places emphasis on the standing asanas. Strangely, I find Sukhasana (cross-legged seated) and specifically Parvatasana in Sukhasana (With both arms strecthed up beside ears, fingers laced pressing upward) very difficult to perfect.

Day 5 of Week 1/10
AM session: Started my day with Yoga and Pilates combination DVD, incorporating little weighted ball. Makes it feel like a game, which is surprisingly different and fun.
PM session: Before bed, did Day 5 of Week 1/10. Tadasana, Vrksasana, Trikonasana, Pasvakonasana, Virabhadrasana II, Uttanasana, Virasana, Sukhasana, Sarvangasana, Savasana. 45 minutes.
(Noted that Ms Mehta’s spelling of Shavasana omits the ‘h’)
This was the first day that I managed to fit in two sessions, and it’s what I need to do until D-day (14 January). That should take me up to 40/43, leaving only three sessions for SA.
Need some strong support on this! :)
