Bring the Bike In! 2 years ago

Since moving from a house to an apartment, I’ve been challenged to think of unique ways to fit exercise into my daily routine. I’ve thought of moving my treadmill but that wasn’t an option when I realized how loud it can be in a small space.

I have a beautiful mountain bike that my boyfriend gave me our first year together. Its awesome and I wanted to show it off in our new place.

Remember, how Seinfield had that hanging bike in the background? That gave me the idea of moving my bike from the storage locker to my living room!

My bike now sits on a bike track … its like have my very own spinning machine! It rocks!



Switched to Weights 3 years ago

I switched gyms! The last place I was at was nice .. umm a little too nice! Initially I thought,

“Wow everyone’s really friendly here! And I’m not talking about just the staff!”

But then as time progressed I realized that that wasn’t just a gym it was an urban country club! People go there to whine, chat, be social and get baby sat by Personal Trainers.

As much as I enjoyed the freebees in the shower room, the price and ambiance wasn’t my cup of tea.

Insert: get your mind out of the gutter! They had free high end soaps and shampoos!

I just started at Weights101.com. Their approach is very holistic and extremely inspiring. I love it!! Oh and my trainer, although he’s nice .. he pushes me to the max. Its awesome!

I’m meeting my personal trainer today for the first time. I’m dishing out the money coz I want some serious results. Tried it on my own, its time for reinforcements!

I’m starting to go to the gym more frequently now. The only thing is I haven’t gotten it down to a regular time slot yet. Some days I go after work, some days its early in the morning .. right now its all over the place but I’m doing it!

Other than eating healthy and exercise, I seeked the help of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I went for my first visit this week and I’m looking forward to continuing.

OH in case you were wondering .. apparently my immune system is weak. Who knew!
