So this week is the 3rd week of the regime. Last week, week 2 the website said I’d have another breakout and I did. I have kept up with the system….which has made my skin feel better but it doesn’t look a whole lot better in my opinion. My forehead and cheeks have been behaving better….its my wretched chin. It never seems to clear.

Well I saw initial improvement with the regime products but hit a point where I began to break out again. According to the website this is normal for moderate acne so I guess I should just keep on trying….but I’d really like to know what I’m doing wrong…cuz it seems like everyone else has IMMEDIATE results.
Honestly, I’d just like to feel pretty for like 1 moment of my pregnancy and my skin is stealing that feeling away.
After days of my skin making dramatic strides I hit a wall a woke up with morning with 4 new spots. The website said this can happen….guess I’ll just have to keep going and wait for improvement. :)
I received the acne.org products in the mail on Saturday. I was convinced the stuff I was using was gentle enough and that my skin needed a FIRM HAND….turns out I was wrong. I’ve been using the acne.org products purchased from their website and the redness has since disappeared. Hopefully my acne will follow. According to the website its the irritation that causes most of the acne, so the gentle products and avoiding picking should help…..we’ll see
So things are looking up slightly today. I woke up and some of the redness has reduced, as the website said it would, and the inflammation has greatly reduced :). I’m pretty happy about it.
Hi Everyone!
I’ve been keeping up with the water drinking and eating better. They have helped in many ways not so much my skin…but other stuff
Most of all for my skin the BP appears to be lessening the breakouts Thought I’ve had one or two more new spots since starting the regime. Besides the breakouts the peeling has increased. Some of me thinks this might be my skins way of getting rid of the impurities…but I’m not sure.
I’m thinking positive thoughts!
So far is day 1 of the regime…and I’m a little red but on day 1 there are no new breakouts from yesterday. I started using the persa gel last night and I think its helpful. The glycolics are nice exfolliants. I work up a bit dry and peely this morning and I think the addition of the glycolic acid helped to get rid of the peeling.
Overall result….redder than I’d like but no real complaints
I’ve decided that there is little I can do to improve my skin during pregnancy. I’ve spoken with the doctor and can us BP.
I am going to stick to a glycolic acid cleanser and moisterizer during the day and a glycolic acid cleanser and clean and clear persa gel (10%) for at night. This system kept me clear all through college. I think the point is pregnancy and the hormones just need to be shown whose boss :).
Other than that I’m going to try to drink more water keep taking my prenatals which have made my hair and nails beautiful and keep my hair pulled back off my face since its my chin that’s affected.
I hope these work…if not well I still get a beautiful baby boy at the end so its not too bad a trade off right? Beauty for a baby.
I’m sick of acne…so SICK of acne! Every time I “think” its gone…IE I don’t see a sign of it for a week a month a year it comes back worse and worse! I can’t escape it…no matter what. Now I’m 6 weeks away from my wedding and I look like a 12 year old who just hit puberty. Why does this happen…and why does the dermetologist look at me like I’m an idiot. You know she actually told me on a scale of 1-10 my acne was a 3 or 4. Then she said well there’s always ACCUTANE if it bothers you that much. Seriously! You’re paid a lot of money to be helpful and to FIX the problem…Not say hey there’s accutane if you can’t deal with the problem.
