I read this article recently: http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/fashion/article2137372.ece
It is all about micro packing and it suggests that for a week away you should be able to survive with only “three bottoms (trousers or skirts); six tops (one of them evening-worthy); one drapey jersey or satin dress in a dark colour that can double for evenings; one pair of flats, two pair of heels (one for evening); one pair of boots; one jacket; one cardigan, one coat; one evening cover-up; one shiny or sequined item (always handy); belts and as much jewellery as you can fit in.”
It struck me that if I can make the clothing items listed and therefore be reasonably apparelled for a week I can consider this goal completed.
