Well, I didn’t get back on to a regular sleep cycle.
I was off to a good start but then I pushed myself too hard and ended up with a cold and everything went to Hell. Oh well.
So, I am going to try this again. The goal is really simple. Get to work before 9:00 A.M. everyday for 1 month. On the weekend, be up and dressed by that time.
Since I blew it once I am going to extend that to 5 weeks. So, until April 14th. Wish me luck!

I have a job where it doesn’t really matter what time I go, just as long as I get the job done. This is both a blessing and a curse. It has caused me to get into really bad sleeping habbits.
So last month I decided, I will get to work before 9:00 am every day for 4 weeks. At first it was impossible to go to sleep early so I just went to bed late and woke up early. After a few days I was once again able to get to bed at a reasonable hour.
I was doing pretty good and then I caught a cold. Actually, slight sleep depravation may have had something to do with it. Got to make sure I get the daily 8 hours too, I suppose.
I am shifting my goal from March 3rd to March 10th.

This book, by William C. Dement is great way to learn about the importance of healthy sleep. There is no better way to improve your immune system, become more productive, extend your live than with good sleep.

First week … check.
I got to work before 9 every single day. First time in I can’t guess how many years.
Three weeks to go and I will mark this one off as accomplished.

The morning playlist will be performing an important role in completing this goal.
Your Recomendations?
Currently: Sasasan Katamari followed by Katamari on the Rocks (The soundtrack to the bizzare but incredibly fun video game, Katamari Damacy.)

I will mark this goal done if I can get to work by 9 (or earlier) everyday until March 3rd.
For this to happen I have to make sure of a few things:
- I set my alarm clock
- I don’t go to bed too late (< midnight)
- I don’t fall asleep at 7:00pm and wake up at 11:30

I stay up late, then I get up late, then I get to work late (only after screwing around on the web for too long). Then I have to stay at work late…
I think I would be a hell of a lot more productive if I just shifted everything by 3 hours or so.
