read the bible cover to cover

I was very motivated for a long time on this. I even went out and bought the entire Bible on cd so I could listen while driving. But somehow I stopped listening to them. I’ll try to make sure I put them in my van tonight so that I at least have them in there. That way when I’m wanting something to listen to they are at least available.

Obviously didn’t meet that goal. But I bought the Bible on CD and have been listening to it in the car. I’m almost through Genesis I think.

Someday I’ll complete this.

Well – between confirmation and church throughout my life I think I’ve probably read most if not all of the Bible. But it has been my goal since junior high to read it cover to cover. I never get through Genesis – it’s a wierd and complex chapter. Lots of odd stuff in there that confuses me more than anything. Well – last month my fiance and I read it together and got about 1/2 way through Genesis. We had to stop because it was jsut confusing us. Some of these people do crazy things and have lots of wives and sleep around and yet God calls them blessed? I just don’t understand. But I’ll read on. Hopefully it will all start falling together for me.

My first goal is to finish Genesis by 8-31-05.
