do my laundry

My laundry is almost all caught up! The floor is all clean and visible. We actually moved the cats food and litter box and the rabbit cage into the laundry room now. I have about 3 loads of laundry to do and one basket to fold. But I’ve been doing a good job of washing, drying right away, and then folding the clothes and hanging them up right away. I’m actually pretty proud of myself for this one. This is probably my biggest accomplishment so far. I should have taken before and after pictures.

We went through and got rid of all the clothes that don’t fit or that we never wear. I spent a whole weekend getting caught up on the laundry and hanging clothes. Now that I’m caught up, its much easier to stay caught up.

I was horribly behind. You couldn’t see the floor in my laundry room. I’ve done several loads now and you can see about 1/3 of the floor. I made a rule for myself that I’m not allowed to put clothes in baskets anymore. I have to fold and hang up the clothes as I take them out of the dryer. I obviously have to empty the dryer to add the next load into it. It’s helped keep things off the floor. The only thing I need to start doing now is taking the clothes that are folded and hung up out of the laundry room and into our closet. My hanging rack in the laundry room is full now so that will have to be done very soon.
But hey – I’m starting to do it at least.

OK. I always plan to do this and never do. Seems so simple. It would take very little time every day or two to keep up with it. But now the entire laundry room is covered in clothes. Don’t know whats clean and whats dirty. Just clean clothes that I want to wear the next day each night. It’s pathetic. I will try to get caught up within the next 2 weeks. That should be an attainable goal.
