To the people over 8 and under 18 years old, the American Go Association is hosting a Go camp during the summer. There’s two posts: west and east coast. It costs $750 for a few weeks. For info, go to www.usgo.org
Sadly, I’m working, so I can’t go sniffle but I thought someone might like it.

I actually learned about Go from an anime I picked up from Blockbuster called “Hikaru No Go”. While I was watching it, I was talking online with a friend of mine, and he knew the anime. We got on the topic of Go, which was slowly grabbing my interest as I watched, and he said he was just learning it as well.
We decided to play a few games on Yahoo, and he won 4 out of 6 games. Neither of us really understood more than the basic rules, so the game was more learning as we went along. After the games, I went through a few online Go run throughs, most of which were made for little kids.
I'm going to visit my friend this summer, and we have a little Japanese Mall that has free Go boards in the food court. We promised to play each other when online, so by the time summer rolls around we can play in public without making fools of ourselves.
