Visted two friends, saw the one’s new house and pets and got to know her hubby a little. (I have to say I like him a lot better now than I did in high school. My how people change! [both of us, really])
Gave presentations to the high schoolers, got a barrage of very good, thoughtful questions! Then I went around the school and visited with all of my former teachers. FUN DAY!!!!
This was the prep for the marriage/career questions I got from my family. There were light inquiries from the people closest to me. The family went all out and spent a good half hour at the dinner table asking me more questions than I knew how to answer!!! My aunt asked if I was going to be a spinster!!! I’m only 22!!!
Even the little one kept asking me where the Egman was all break! Cute, but it’s hard to tell a 2-year-old why someone she’s grown up knowing doesn’t come to a family function.
All in all a wonderful break, though! I’m so happy I got back in touch with so many people!

I found out that if you go talk about college to your highschool, the department pays your gas to get home and back! Woot! I get to go talk to all of my cool teachers (that haven’t retired) and brag about how my schools are awesome.

scheduled with one friend, and I may just kidnap the other as she gets off work. We could all use a little more girl-time.

This just isn’t going to happen. My best friend stopped by to drop off her boyfriend’s keys on her way out of town, but that’s about it. We’ll see if I can get her to come down and see me at school before she starts her new job. I’m excited for her, she passed her CNA exam not too long ago!

About FIVE of my friends from “back home” are married or engaged! It’s ridiculous! I’m going to try to get a bunch of the girls together and hit up the new restaurant in town.
It’ll be good to have girl conversations again! I hang out with waaaaay too many boys here, but that’s the risk you take being a computer engineer I suppose!
