I was on the Kraft website and I’ve started inquiring into eating better for myself. I find that since I am so busy, I am very bad at planning and preparing my meals. I end up either eating too many or too little calories in a day, usually quickly prepared snack foods (I’m bad, especially with cheese and crackers.. erk!) So I’ve signed up on the Kraft Website to a meal planner. I think this will help me.
Although, I went grocery shopping tonight (Got to love 24 hour groceries) and forgot my little shopping list. I tried to get what I could remember, also making better choices with some of my item selections.
For example, I love eggs. I bought the Omega-3 eggs this time, and I usually separate out the yolks anyway to lower the cholesterol. This should be a good choice.
I also decided on some new snack ideas. Jello Fat Free Pudding snacks, Del Monte Peaches in a nifty take-me-to-work-school-whereever-with-you container, and some Green Tea. Yep. :)

this needs to start including “eat… just eat!” because I find that with being so busy, I’ve been forgetting to eat. Come nighttime, I get these wretching cramps and I cannot sleep. Then I’m cranky and I dont get a proper workout that day.
Although, tonight I am fasting. I have a doctor’s appointment and they need to do bloodwork tomorrow.

I found this place on campus that is an open salad bar. With TONS of selection, you just fill up a container and they weigh it and you pay based on weight. So that’s what I had for lunch. I filled a container for less than $5.
and they have Lychee! Ohh, I was so excited when I saw it. It’s one of my favourite pieces of fruit.
I’ve also learned that watermelon is not worth the purchase: heavy weight, it’s like eating water. I think I’ll stick to the peaches, strawberries, LYCHEE and oranges. MMmmmmmm I’m so happy I found this place.

This morning, I had a wonderful breakfust. I had a toasted egg and cheese sandwich (I’m a sucker for cheese, it’s just that good!) with a side of concord grapes and a glass of milk.
health wise, I know the grapes were good… haha, but at least I HAD BREAKFAST! That’s where my pride is kicking in. It’s better than a bagel and cream cheese.

my first step in achieving this goal is to have at least one healthy snack per day.
Today, I had watermelon instead of feeding my craving for a chocolate cookie or two.
Very refreshing!
