A coworker sent out an informal invitation to this year’s walk, October 30. We should be able to attend, as Mom’s not traveling and we had to reschedule our vacation.
The only problem is my ankle.
It’s still giving me fits; in fact, I’m starting to wonder if I shouldn’t go see a doctor. (I went to the minor med after my accident; they didn’t even x-ray it.) And as we’re going to DC a couple of weeks after the walk, I’m reluctant to risk making it any worse.
On the other hand, maybe walking would help strengthen it. And it would mean a lot to Mom – to both of us – to participate in this walk.
Not to mention that I’ve almost completely lost all ground I gained working out last year. The one thing I have going for me is that, thanks to my ankle, my bum knee is no longer bothering me. (I can’t baby it anymore.) A 3-mile walk would do me good.
I guess I should start researching…and if it looks like I require further medical attention, go to the doctor.
Does anyone else come to such realizations by writing entries? Or am I the only one who thinks best while typing?
