32. Gray. In my mind, there has always been a distinction between gray and grey – gray is more of a bluish shade, and grey is more of a greenish one. I have no real reason for this, except that grey starts with the same first letters as green. People think I’m insane when I tell them this.
33. Cerulean. This is just a fun word to say and write. And I do like blue…
34. Crimson (and clover…over and over…) ::hums::
35. Sage. (Has many meanings, I know…I’m using it for a color right now.)
36. Azure.
37. Violet.
(Digressing into flowers now.)
38. Hyacinth. I’d love to name a daughter this, except what would her friends call her? Hya?
39. Lilac/lavender. (They’re closely related in my mind, so I’m grouping them together.) For some reason, I always want to spell it lavendar. Not sure why.
40. Lily.
(Ah, heck, I can come up with 3 more words. But I must hurry, ‘cause I’ve got a cuddly bf waiting in bed for me.)
41. Toast. Toast of the town. Toasty. Buttery toast. Or, as FFB loves to sing, “Toast…yeah, toast.”
42. Cashmere. I’m allergic to it, but I love the word.
43. Ombre. (Not, as spellcheck wants me to write, hombre. Too lazy to figure out how to do the accent.)

29. aura
30. aurora
31. twit
(Don’t ask how I was reminded of them…this was first thing in the morning, and I’ve had a lot of other thoughts since then. My guess is I stumbled across them in my RSS feeds.)

28. Smirk. ‘Cause it’s hard to say it without doing it.

27. Snuggle. I could use one right now…I’ve not seen near enough of R in the past few weeks. He gives good snug, too.

26. Wonky. Defined for me by my graphic designer friend. And is generally the most accurate term to describe the files we struggle with. (Particularly those created by our old designer, but that’s neither here nor there.)

24. Mosaic. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve always loved this word.

23. Velour. It sounds as rich as it feels. (I’ll add “velvet” here, as well, for the same reasons – though I don’t consider it different enough to make it a separate entry.) I remember fondly the velour clothes Mom made me when I was a kid; I am no less pleased with the velour hoodies and pants she bought me for Christmas this year. So warm, so soft. Velour.

21. Awry. Kind of like “amok” (which I just realized I failed to number) – just an awkward-looking four-letter word that means all is not according to plan. Which often leads to
22. Chaos. What a fun word. Sounds nothing like it looks…usually means someone’s little bubble has just been burst. I’m beginning to realize that this can be a good thing (so long as it is not in my kitchen sink).

19. Pulchritude. An ugly-sounding and -looking word that means “pretty.”
