spend less money

Well, I haven’t been in the cheap shop for ages but now I’m in scholarship I’m passing by it every day. It’s not too good for the environment (I actually prefer biological food) but I guess I have no choice as from september this year I wont get study finances any more :( So back to the cheap stuff again! hopefully I’ll manage to keep going there this time.

I always told myself the expensive supermarket wasn’t that expensive. And it’s true when you only buy coke and cottage cheese. For fruits, vegetables, bread, meat and cookies you can still better visit the non-brand cheap ass supermarket. And it works! I never knew I could get a bread for 35 cents, ketchup for 50 and honey for 1,50! This may sound silly, but i love the cheap ass shit already! And the quality isn’t less either. So now I feel that I’ll probably be able to save some money :) :)

This may sound stupid but I saw this at the Oprah Winfrey show (don’t laugh, I really watch it): Give yourself a week budget to live from, cash in an envelope. So no more bankpasses. I’m gonna try it. Next monday I get my study finances, one week after that i get my wage. My budget: 50 euros a week: 25 for groceries, 25 for clothes, travelling, going out, gifts etc. I counted that if I keep to this budget, I could save almost 250 euros every month. Next college year, when i pay the fee all in once, this would mean i could save up to 400 euros a month, which means i dont have to lend money anymore! The more i think about it, the more i realise what a money-waster i am. I just hope i can manage with such a small budget. But i promised myself a tattoo on my b-day (end of august) when I save 250 euro each month, starting in june (i have a huge college fee to pay in may, so…)
Another thing is that I opened a new bank account. every month i save 40 euros on it, and 40 euros on my other account which i use for college. So maybe, one day, i’ll manage….

maybe i should quit giving money to charity…

I’m bad at this, everytime I got money I spend all of it within minutes! It’s terrible. I’ve tried writing down every penny I spend, but that never lasts longer than 2 months. Maybe I should just stay inside the house forever from now on…
