I’m marrying a man who’s mother is German! Which means she can cook! He likes to eat good, hearty meals. I came from a family where macaroni and cheese was perfectly acceptable as a meal, and meat was a specialty. Money may have been a factor in these upbringings, but we’ll leave that out of it. Basically, I know the essentials and I can follow directions, but I have no sense of creating a meal. I need to learn how to use what I have to make something good.
