I have a bit piled on me this week for school, but I’m giving myself a very specific schedule tomorrow, since it’s basically the biggest day I can get work done. Hopefully it’ll go over well; I’ve left a note on the door asking my parents not to nag me too much about other things while I’m doing this, and I’m gonna call my music teacher tomorrow to let him know what’s going on. Basically, be awake and showered by 11:30, then go into this routine; half hour of homework, ten minutes doing the dishes, then a ten minute break, lather, rinse, repeat. If I can keep this going, I can probably squeeze in longer breaks; when the dishes are done, use that time to pack for the convention I’m going to this weekend, and then once that’s done, use the dish time in break.
Wish me luck. I feel I’m gonna need it.

This weekend, I was back in “screw you, I’ll do what I want” mode, but I’m trying to make up for it.
At the moment, the main thing I’m trying to nudge into a pattern is my rent for the house; at least one load of dishes a day (more when they get piled up, like they just did because we were out of dish detergent). My pattern for it last week, when dishes were low, I had a pattern of getting up around 10:30-11 in the morning, emptying the dishwasher, and throughout the day, going around the house and gathering dishes to put in the dishwasher, then running it around midnight-3AM before I go to bed.
I may need to adjust that pattern for at least tomorrow, because of the piling up, but if I can get back to where it was at my peak, that’ll be good for me because I can get it into my normal life. At least until school starts; then I’ll have to figure something else out, depending on my schedule.

So far I think it’s working (even though I had a little but of hiatus due to basement floodings), and it’s also encouraging me to carry my phone with me more.

I have a plan on how to motivate myself. Let’s see if it works:
My plan is to at least every day, take a goal or a chore that I have to do soon, and put it on the “To do” list on my cell phone. Then I pick a time to do this, and set my cell phone to sound an alarm at that time. When the alarm goes off, it’s time to do that chore. If I don’t remember what I need to do, I can go to my “to do” list and check. I already did this today, with a reminder to call a few people about the party that I hope to have in August. It scared the living daylights out of me, but at least I got it done.
We’ll see what happens with the rest. For now…let’s see what I should put on it next…
